To my beautiful daughter Courtney…
my senior in high school,
This is certainly not how we thought the last few months of your senior year would look, but as we manage the day to day of our present situation, I have never been more proud of you. I have watched you accept what you, your friends and classmates have been handed. Unable to attend a senior prom, graduation, or even a last day of school to say goodbye and good luck to everyone you have known for the past 4 years.
I promise, we will celebrate all the things you deserve as a high school senior. They may not look the same as originally planned but they will be celebrated! You deserve that. Your senior class deserves that. For now, keep looking up, keep working hard, keeping laughing, keep smiling. Always know I love you and I am so proud of you. “This too shall pass” is how the saying goes and someday soon, it will. As a result, you will come out stronger. You will be better. You will have won.
All my love,
COURTNEY GRUTZA – PLAINFIELD EAST H.S. – CLASS OF 2020
I had the pleasure of photographing this young woman as a referral from one of my senior spokesmodels. Courtney has such a fun and bubbly personality, she and her mom made the shoot go by so fast. Congratulations Courtney. Just think, in a few months you’ll be starting college and beginning an exciting new chapter in your life. Courtney will be attending Grand Valley State in Michigan.
