How can it already be time for you to graduate high school? How can it be 17 short years ago you came into our lives and made it so much better? It seems like yesterday. You’re on the verge of a milestone. One where you say to the world, “Okay. Show me what you got! I’m ready for a change and to show the world what I’ve got!”
We know when you were growing up, we asked too many questions. It was because we wanted to be a part of everything in your life. You are our world and we will always be interested in all you do. We learned you didn’t always need us to solve things for you. Sometimes you just needed us to listen. So we did.
We listened and learned. We learned what a high set of morals you have and what a compassionate person you are. You treat absolutely everyone with kindness. You know the value of a dollar and that honesty is the best policy. You value friendship and know how to forgive and move on. You’re much stronger than me (Mom) in that regard.
High school wasn’t always easy. But, you came out a stronger more beautiful person than you went in. The moments that hurt you just make you normal. We all go through it. You are stronger because of those moments. You learned your strength and how to be happy with who you are.
As you start your next adventure, know we are always by your side. Know you have a voice and use it to change things. Know that working hard for what you want is the best way to achieve it. Avoid shortcuts. Success is determined by who you are and how you lead your life. Life doesn’t always go the way you want it to. Celebrate every moment, the highs and lows. Always remember you have a place to come home to and a family that thinks the world of you.
Love you more than you know,
Mom and Dad

Alina is one of my lovely 2020 Mod Squad members. I had such a great time with her and her mom Trina at her senior session. We explored a downtown area in a different town and of course, afterward, we grabbed some dinner. Alina, I’m so glad I got to know you this year. I wish nothing but the best for you in college and of course after. Please let me know when you’re in town for visits. God Bless.
