This weekend, I was blessed to be a part of a very special moment for a young beautiful couple. A long-time friend of mine contacted me because her niece was going to get proposed to. She just didn’t know it. My friend suggested that Joe hire a photographer so that everyone could enjoy the moment and be a part of the celebration. I am so glad that he decided to hire me. Not only was this incredibly fun for me, but Joe & Samantha now have a collection of keepsakes that will last them a lifetime.
Both families were a part of the planning and kept this secret for a few months. Joe had a little bit of “The Bachelor” theme to his plan. The ring was just as amazing as any on the show. Actually, I believe it is almost identical to one that was on the show. They had a party bus us to the proposal destination – Buckingham Fountain in Chicago. I have to tell you, not too many guys Joe’s age, that I know, are organized and as creative as he. Joe had 2 of Samantha’s best friends plan a girl’s day to get a make-up session and dress up for what she thought was going to be a night out in Chicago.
They planned the time of her arrival along with the entrance she would take to the fountain. He decided to include the family by separating them in groups and approach her one group at a time. Each group had a bouquet of roses and a card that Joe wrote to his beloved. Finally, after standing afar watching his soon to be bride shedding tears of joy and filled with anticipation and probably a lot of butterflies in his stomach; Joe approached with a single rose, got on one knee and asked Samantha the most important question she will ever be asked. On Saturday, August 22, 2015 – Joe & Samantha decided on forever.
Meet the newly engaged Joe and Samantha.
If you or someone you know is planning a proposal, I encourage you to hire a photographer – preferably Veronica Adams Photography – to capture the moment.
The happy couple will enjoy looking over the pre-proposal, the actual proposal and the fun post-proposal images for years to come.
